I picked out 6 or 7 pieces of Christmas papers that I really liked. This year I am into the vintage look, so that is what I looked for.
I cut out a pattern of the the star and began to cut the patterned paper out. I then inked the edges and glued the paper to the tin star with mod podge.
Let the star dry overnight, and this is how it turned out...LOVE IT!
As always, everything looks better in person. I think this year I just may decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving.....I am sure I won't be the only one!
I have one of those sitting right here in my studio. If only I had some of those cute papers . . . . . .
ReplyDeleteNice job Irene!
ReplyDeleteOh this is so pretty! Love the delicious papers you chose!
ReplyDeleteThanks girls! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the tin look too, do you think that would work with the cheap cardboard stars too?
ReplyDeleteYes, Emi~ you could definately do this with the chipboard stars! Come up next weekend and I will help you make one!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find the star?? I have been looking for one to do that similar project on.
ReplyDeleteTristen, the star is from Ben Franklins in Kaysville. I am sure other Ben Franklins have the star. We don't have BF in Vegas, but I am going to check out Micheals and Joanns this week.
