Christmas Spirit

I wish so bad that I could share with all of you what I have been crafting and sewing...but everything is a gift for some one and I know that those people check my blog, so I will have to wait to post pictures. So, instead, I wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas! This year, as for most, has been a year of financial change in our home. We have gone back to the basics for Christmas and I cannot even begin to express how blessed our home is for doing so. This year, we have gone back to the true meaning of Christmas, that maybe in financially better years was lost a bit. Please enjoy this wonderful Christmas message, and may you all have a wonderful Christmas.

Great Holiday Decor

It is very wet and rainy here in Las Vegas...sure makes it feel like Christmas! I was looking around the internet for some fun projects and I wanted to share a few that are super cute! I found some projects with tutorials with them, which is even better! :)

First up...
Christmas Star Wreath
I love how Just Made That Way did this wreath! Very unique idea to use stars! Love it!

Second up...
Shutter Christmas Card Holder
I have been wanting to do this idea for years! I am on the hunt now for some old shutters! You can find this idea at Sassy Sites.

Third up...
JOY Frames & Snowman

Ok, I just love this one! Look how cute the word JOY looks with each letter in its own frame! The Magic of Ordinary Things came up with this great idea! I know that there isn't a tutorial with this one, but I think I can figure it out!
The internet is such a great place to find new ideas!

New Bags~

Do you all remember this bag I made a couple of weeks ago?
Well, this bag was a big hit at the craft show last weekend. It was the first bag that every customer picked up. Early in the show a gal came by the booth, and she loved this bag. She bought the bag for herself and I was so happy that she bought it because it feels good when someone buys your product, and you just know that they love it. Anyway, she came back at the end of the craft show and wanted another one, just like it. She thought her friend would like one too. I panicked. I hardly had anymore of the "cowgirl" fabric. Monday I went right back to the quilt shop where I bought this fabric. And...they didn't have anymore. So, I made it work with what I had....

I think it turned out just as cute! Thank goodness~

I was really in a sewing mood last night, so I finished up a bag for a girlfriend of mine....

I think that this bag is great! I love all the Amy Butler fabrics together! Hope you like your bag Tamela! :)

All in all, a successful sewing night!

Christmas Family Photo Display

Tonight I turned a plain 12x12 canvas into a family photo display. I wanted to do something unique with this year's family photo. Our oldest son will be gone for the next two Christmases, so I wanted something special to display this year's photo.

I love this year's line from Making Memories called Noel so I knew I wanted to use that paper. It has been a long time since I broke out the scrapbook paint and chipboard letters.

So, I turned this...
into this...

The colors are perfect for my home. There is a Christmas feel to the canvas, but I think it would look great up all year round!

Now, it's your turn, go turn your family picture into a great display for your home!

The DIY Show Off

Craft Show thoughts~

My first craft show was very interesting! All in all, I had a good time and did enjoy having a table at the craft show. I met some really nice people and enjoyed seeing the crafts of other crafters. I did really well for my first show...I think, I have nothing to compare to.
That's my good friend, Barb that helped out at the show...thanks Barb!
Now back to work to replace what was sold!

Have a great week!

Off to a Craft Show!

I am participating in my first craft show. Not sure if it will be my cup of tea~ but the only way to find out is to do one. So, I spent the better part of this week at night working on things for the show. Thought I would share what my dining room table looks like...
There is still some things that I could not fit on the table!

I love how this chunky "JOY" block set turned out!

Oh, my little army of Vegas Snowmen! Stinking cute! :)

Have a great weekend and wish me luck!

Bags, Bags and MORE Bags!

I wanted to share some of the bags that I have been working on the last couple of days! I love to make bags and I love to collect bags. The style bag that I love the most is this one....

The bag is a great size for almost everything! I use this style for my work bag i.e. I bring my lunch, diet dr. peppers and whatever paperwork I am working on. The bags are about 16 inches wide by 14 inches tall, so they are great for files. I also use this style for a church bag. The church manuals and scriptures fit perfect in these bags. Just very versatile!

Heather Bailey Fabric is my favorite! I have made this bag several times using Heather Bailey!

This bag just cracks me up! Go get'tem girls!

Then I made up some more book bags. This burnt orange color is beautiful!

But then again, so is this metallic bag!

This seasons hottest color!

It is no wonder I am not making it to bed each night until 2:00 a.m.!
