One of the secretaries at my husband's office has a sister that is having a baby. Well, every new baby needs a cute diaper bag. Chrissy and I talked and looked at diaper bags and fabric for a while. Chrissy finally picked a style and fabric and I finished the bag and wanted to share it with you.
I think that this diaper bag turned out super cute!
I love the contrast of the fabric! Chrissy picked a Micheal Miller fabric for the exterior of the bag and an Amy Butler for the lining and contrast fabric. Super fun together!
The lining is happy and bright! There are 8 pockets on the exterior of the bag and 4 large interior pockets. There is also a removable shoulder strap and a key fob for momma's keys.
I added the removable bow at the end. I think it finishes the look of the bag.
And, finally on the bottom of the bag I added the silver stud feet to help protect the bottom of the bag.
There ya go Chrissy! I hope you like it! And, more importantly, I hope your sister loves it!
That is brilliant! I think you could use that bag for any number of things, not just a diaper bag.

DeleteBeautiful Irene! I love the fabrics and I'm really loving the zipper closure on top- that's something I need to learn how to do.

Hi Amy! Thanks! The zipper top, in reality, was very easy, but I had to really think it through. I used a coil separating zipper, which means it zips like a jacket. Kinda cool. How the heck are you feeling??
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this bag!!!! I think the bow absolutely makes it! You are a super sewing genius! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! That is GORGEOUS!!! :) I love that you thought of everything (the metal feet to protect the bottom of the bag, all the pockets, ...)!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing,
Jennifer
